World War One Remembered
On 4 August 1914, five weeks after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria in Sarajevo, Britain entered the First World War. Exactly a century on, today marks a national day of commemoration. The Royal Aero Club Trust has been delighted to provide information from its archive collection, in support of commemoration projects around the world. If we can help further – particularly with photographs of RFC/RNAS pilots, please send an Email through the “Contact Us” section of this web-site, selecting “The RAeC Collection – albums, archives” in the Subject line.
